Highlights Of The Week

  • The Hub City Film Festival: This week from September 26th - 28th marks the 2nd Annual Hub City Film Festival in Jackson. You can still get tickets to watch the work of local filmmakers this Saturday at The NED!

  • $392,000 Grant: (Cypress Grove Nature Park) will receive $392,000 dollars of the $2.6 Million that was allocated to recreational trails all over Tennessee. The park will put these funds towards repairs on the walkway, parking areas and a few other key areas.

  • Mini Moon Crosses Earth: The “Mini Moon” will be taking a similar path as the moon and will remain with us until November! While this “Mini Moon” will not be visible with the naked eye, for those with Telescopes it will be a sight to see!

  • Hurricane Helene: We are officially entering the peak of Hurricane Season with Tennessee & Kentucky both issuing flood advisories and two more hurricanes forming in the Atlantic!

  • The Flat-Out Failures: Tire Slashing in Madison County has increased as The Madison County Sheriffs Department start an investigation into a group of individuals going around Madison County slashing/deflating vehicle tires. (The Flat-Out Failures) recently targeted semi trucks at the TA Travel Center flattening at least 58 tires, costing over $29,000 or $500 per tire.

Note: The Name “The Flat-Out Failures” is not the official name but the name we decided would fit these individuals best. 😅
