✨Highlights Of The Week ✨

• The IRS: Tax Season is right around the corner and the IRS has put out their new tax brackets for 2025. Tax brackets have been raised by 2.8% to keep up with inflation, meaning that more of your money will be taxed at a lower tax rate!

• Dunkin Donuts: Jackson’s 3rd Dunkin Donuts has officially opened! This event was celebrated by giving “100 Days Of Free Coffee” to the first 100 guests and a $3,000 donation to RIFA.

• New Restaurant Opens: The Upper Casual restaurant Nolins Bar & Grille is officially open. This restaurant has transformed the space formerly occupied by Genghis Grill and will serve a wide variety of dishes with an upscale spin.

• Buc-ee’s West Tennessee: Construction of the first Bucee’s location in West Tennessee is expected to start this year with a completion date for late Spring - Mid Summer 2025! It is expected to bring almost 250 jobs to the area, with an average annual salary of $45,000.

• America’s River Crossing: The 75 Year old I-55 Bridge connecting Tennessee & Arkansas is scheduled to be replaced! This is one of the largest and most important infrastructure projects for West Tennessee and is expected to bring hundreds of new jobs to the region

• Reminder: The last day for Early Voting is Thursday, October 31st, after this you will have to compete with the crowds on Tuesday, Nov. 5th.

1. 🔺 +1 Halloween 2024: With Halloween less than one week away, many are prepared for the parties, music & truck or treating. One of the biggest trends across the country this year is people wanting to have a traditional door to door trick or treat experience again.

2. 🔺 +2 Early Voting: As people across the country head to the ballot box in order to beat the lines, many are asking this question. Why isn’t Election Day a federal holiday in the U.S.! (Over 72% of Americans believe that it should be.)

3. 🔻 - 2 Affordable Mechanics: Fun Fact, so many people get their cars fixed during the fall particularly October, that it has become known “Fall Car Care Month”! Because truly no one likes to be “Left Out In The Cold”! 🥶 😂 

4. 🔺 +6 Black Friday 2024: Although last year’s Black Friday was considered a joke last year with many consumers saying that their were no deals! This year retailers are trying to change that by offering more products at lower prices this time. Time will tell if these offers are actually worth the wait in 2024!

5. 🔻 - 2 Employment: Companies are still on the look for good employees for the holidays. This year over 500,000 people across the country are expected to be hired in retail alone.
